Hola! Welcome to this new blog.
If you are a tech geek you surely might have heard new OS launched by Huawei on September 10,2019. After Huawei making it's way to Google's entity list they started developing a new software of their own. Apparently, this software is termed as Harmony OS. After it's release date youtubers and bloggers have started using the beta version 1.0 and 2.0 of this latest software and have passed on their opinions. According to huaweicentral.com Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO, Richard Yu announced that this booming OS will be available on smartphones as soon as early 2021. By the end of this blog you will be able to decide if this new third player in the field grabs your attention in the market or not. So without any late let's get into the details..
How different is Harmony OS from Android?
In spite of China creating this new software from scratch, it tried to maintain the UI for it's users as familiar as possible. Harmony OS seems after all like a disguise of Android in spite of Huawei's promises. The UI , Debug bridge and Harmony's system components also matches with Android.
Harmony OS claims it has 62 percent lower latency than GMS Android. Harmony OS has it's own HMS and has the highest security certification which is cceal5+ . The app developers also have the good news that they have less competition to drop their software in Huawei's app store because it being latest software in the market which is rare.
Huawei also added a feature for interconnecting devices which bangs the whole game of device usage. It also has a adaptive framework termed microkernel which can run on any electronic or digital appliance.
You might be wondering if Huawei company is on Google's entity list how can Harmony OS access Google Mobile Services, for that Huawei built an app called "More Apps" which provides direct links to all the necessary or mostly used apps.
And the other drawback of using this software is you need to provide them a scan of your passport and credit card for which god knows why.. But the only disadvantage for Huawei's Consumer Group is it's in lack of hardware components which were initially got exported from USA, Korea and Japan. They can't build their own Flagship processors, displayers, OLED displays, ram, memory card. In spite all the odds Huawei is ready to launch their new mobiles with this software and let's see how it turns out..
Until next time Adios!
